PHOENIX FAVORITES

Up • Phoenix Rising • Phoenix Favorites • San Diego Fire

In the area of this show entitled Phoenix Favorites  I show classic and close-out edition  pieces for sale at special prices which must soon increase.  As many of you know, materials costs have gone way up, and while I have been able to offset some of this increase through more efficient handling of my business, I must now bow to the inevitable, and as of the beginning of next year, change my prices accordingly. But I will honor these special prices through the end of January, or longer in some cases where I am able.  It is best to let me know as early as possible if you are interested in a specific piece, however, so I can try to honor any special prices offered.

During the show sale period, I will take 15-20 % off retail price of most sculptures, but here are the featured pieces with even better discounts...

Tried and true classics, long time favorites, and special close-out deals...

Thank you for visiting this show as for being interested in my career.  It has been a wonderful year to meet and collaborate with a whole range of people from clients and friends to associates and chance acquaintances.  Your support and encouragement has allowed me to come this far.   I am glad to share the symbol of the phoenix.. It is a creature which rises above and beyond, transformed by the potentially destructive power of flame into  beauty. Its evolution signals new potential, focus, magic, and joy.

It heralds positive change, both as breathtaking transformation, and self-discovery as delightful and magical as luminescence~ as rainbow.  May this be a  time of the phoenix for us all.

Lucky Bird II: Phoenix

This larger version (5'6"x 22") of the classic original but stronger. Outside rings move oppositely while the bird is mostly stationary.  Regarded as a symbol of good luck and fortune, a favorite gift for newly weds and new home owners.  Stand or mount options.

Retail price is normally $2500-,

Special show price: $1800-

Arrowvane II

A beautiful original design which was a collaboration between my late husband and I...  This indicates direction and is sensitive to velocity.  This is a photo of Arrowvane I, but Arrowvane II is the same but in larger scale.

Mixed metals.  3' x 3' x 12"

Special Show Price:  $1500-

Circles of Life III

Circles hula playfully in opposite directions, designed in collaboration with Emily Murotake, my daughter.

Depending on stand, can go up to 8 feet tall, width is 18".

Normally $2400-

Special Sale Price $1700-

Mini Tree of Life II

Do you want to be the first to own a small version of my new Communitree, pictured on the Phoenix Rising page (Click HERE).  The version would be of brass and copper, and have the three tiers of motion but not the smaller spinneret elements.  I am contemplating two scales of it.

The first would be 5' x 2' and would normally retail for 4800-, but I would give a special show price of 3300- if someone would want to commission that and let me show it for a little bit.  The second would be 6.5' x 3' and would also be of mixed metals and enamel.  I would retail it for around 6500-, but sell it at a special show price of 4500- if someone would want the first prototype.

Mini Solar System III: Blithe Spirit

Mixed metals and copper enameling compose this playful composition of  three inner moving circles.  A favorite for many years, I recently reclaimed on from a gallery

~ there is only one left!~.

Height is to 6 feet, width to 32 " diameter.

Normally retails for $4500-,

special sale price $3000-.

Wind and Water Dragon II

I would be remiss if I did not include a dragon, since the dragon and phoenix are so paired in Chinese mythology as to represent perfect twins or lovers.

This copper, brass, stainless and often enameled sculpture swirls in two opposite directions, a design derived from the Chines myth of the double dragons of Happiness.  They are as freely activated by wind as they are by water.

Usually lower standing, around 65 inches tall by 26 inches deep.

Retail is normally $6700-,

Sale price is $4200-.

Pacific Mermaid II

Elegant colors, forms and interplay of the oppositely rotating fins make this a favorite which I must close out after this show.  Mixed metals, copper enameling.  can be set 4-6 feet, 30 inches deep.

Normally retails for $6700-,

show special is $4500-.

Assymetrix IIA

An exciting bronze and brass version with dynamic and playful motion.  Interplay of different directions and momentums make this a toy lovers favorite!  6' tall, 30" diameter.

Normally retails for $8800-.

Show sale special is $6500-.

Rosebud Classica

Stainless or Copper and brass available.

A featured selection of Tiffany's and many, the Rosebud series is a long standing classic and favorite.

This version is stainless, and below it is the original in copper and brass in foreground.  There are very few left in the edition, and I am seeking to close these out.  Standing between 7-8 feet tall, and 28 x 34 inches, it is an elegant but not overwhelming presence with balletic lines and action.  Available with color

Stainless retails $15,000- but sale price is $8800.

Copper and Brass is normally $9500-, but sale price is $6800-.
