Commissions and Special Orders: *The pieces can be designed to
withstand almost all types of weather, including freezing, very hot, very windy,
salt air, and even dusty conditions. This
is due to the construction and materials: -Inside
is reinforced with 304 (aircraft strength) stainless -Any
brass and copper used is marine alloy and thick walled this
will patina with time, creating a verdigris which actually strengthens
and protects the metal -the
coloration on most of the pieces is copper enamel, a process which
actually fuses a glass coating to the metal, and which will not
fade or peal -The
pieces are fitted with aircraft components, which are shielded, stainless,
and internally lubricated. Lubrication
is not generally required.
They are the highest quality. If at
any time lubrication would
be required, an inline skate product is recommended. Pieces which are made to order can be
made to different heights and can mount on different kinds of stands to fit the
needs of the site. Other variations,
such as color, size, and sensitivity to the wind can also be tailored to fit the
needs of the site, and should be discussed with the Artist when commissioning. When a piece is being commissioned, the
Artist and the client will discuss a time line for completing the work.
If for any reason outside of the Artist’s control, completion or
delivery of the work is delayed, the Artist will notify Client as soon as such
delay is foreseen. A 50% deposit on
the retail price is required to initiate a sale, and a deposit is considered a
commitment to purchase. On occasion,
a Client may wish to cancel an order. If
notice is given to the artist within the first two weeks following such sale,
and if materials have not yet been
bought, and production has not yet commenced, the Artist may issue a refund
check for the amount of the deposit less a 5% cancellation fee.
Thereafter, no refunds would be generally available, except in such cases
as the Artist might fail to produce said piece, or fulfill the terms of
the commission agreement, or at the Artist’s own discretion. On all works, the balance of price will
be due at or near completion, and the applicable sales tax will be due when
Client is in possession of the work. Other
services, such as consultation, shipping, delivery, or installation, etc., are
separate costs, to be handled on a case by case basis with each commission.
