"From the Flame the Phoenix is born anew,
regenerated and evolved, a bright being more powerful and beautiful than
ever. It rises, and in so doing, radiates great magic and light."
Phoenix Rising features new and exciting
sculptures created in the past year, and highlights dynamic new projects in
process. The Flame sculpture was born as a
concept at the beginning of this year and came into being midway, followed and
accompanied by others below, and culminating in the San Diego Fire sculpture
Remerge.

Phoenix I
12' x 6' x 6' stainless 2005

This is the element designed
to accompany the San Diego Fire piece, and moves gracefully, oppositely
with different angles making the piece look truly look like a phoenix
rising.
Here, it is shown with a
plain stainless matt finish, but is available with
colored clear coatings or
over paint. |

Flame
is the first of its kind.

Stainless with clear
coat color, this piece symbolizing family and connectedness was created
for the Tulsa Boys Home, and stands in the center of their ring of
lodges. It is 35 feet tall by 16 feet wide, and has three tiers of
motion with many smaller moving elements, or twirling leaves. First of
this edition.

A monumental and
graceful version of the delicate original, this design was created for
this beach front home on Long Beach Island. Stainless substructure with
brass and copper superstructure. The copper is colored with enamel and
a beautiful large glass teardrop shines in the middle. 18' tall, 10
feet wide and deep. First of its kind/edition in this scale.

This newest version
of the Fish Dance series is extremely popular due to its playful dense
motion and rich coloration. It was a hit at Lincoln Center this year.
Mixed metals, I am also creating a 316 stainless version of it for a
waterfront home on the Chesapeake Bay.
This version stands
12' and is 5' wide and deep.

for view of installed piece.
Spanning 35 feet and
rising to over 15 feet high, this creation will be multi-media with
inclusion of glass, metals, ceramic and other materials in front, and
have kinetic elements visible through see through portions activated in
rear.
It is currently in
process, and the stainless substructure is almost complete. It will be
installed in summer of 2006 behind the art deco style downtown public
library.
